Using Excel isnt a problem, I just mentioned Outlook because its my email

"Out in the boonies" -- welcome to the crowd. You do not need to have somebody
come in, though it is convenient if you have local consultants. And, surprising
as it may seem, there may be students in your local high school, or even junior
high, that may have the necessary skills and do consulting. I know, it is real
tough on the ego, but there have been stories of high school students that have
thriving consultancies, who talk of how long it will take them to make their
first million.
The other point to remember is that electronic commuting is really perfect for
consulting. Years ago, before I "retired", I was working the Outlook newsgroups
extensively, and got several requests to develop custom forms. Some paid off,
some didn't. Microsoft is developing a Communities site where you can find MVPs
who take in consulting in their specialties, and I refer Outlook requests to
MVPs who are actively pursuing work opportunities. Troll an Excel programming
newsgroup and look for someone who is answering a lot of questions.
I will ask in one of the back channels for you.
