I NEVER USED OUTLOOK BEFORE . BUT I HAVE THE 2003 VERSION AND I WAS HOPING
FOR SOME GOOD STEP BY STEP. I'D LIKE TO USE IT FOR YAHOO. THERE HELP
SECTION
IS TERRIBLE

Knock off the shouting! All caps is shouting. Obviously you do *not* have
a stuck CapsLock key because your Subject field is in mixed case. Shouting
does NOT get you more attention. It gets you ignored!

Some Yahoo domains, like Yahoo UK, still provide access to their POP3 and
SMTP mail hosts for the freebie Yahoo Mail accounts. Some Yahoo domains,
like Yahoo US, do not so all you get with the freebie account is their
webmail interface. Check the help web pages at whatever Yahoo domain that
you use to see if they permit access to their mail hosts for freebie
accounts, or decide to pay them.

You can use YahooPOPs as a local POP3/SMTP-to-HTTP protocol converter proxy
to connect your POP3/SMTP e-mail client to a freebie Yahoo account.
However, from your post, you may lack the understanding of how to set it up.
They have forums that are usually active where you can help from users to
handhold you through the setup procedure for YahooPOPs if the instructions
are beyond you. They have added a wizard that is supposed to automate the
setup but I've never bothered with it since it is already very easy to
setup.
