Hi Ben,
I appreciate your note, but I have done this several times. This does not
seem to correct the situation on my computer. I had found that note
previously from Microsoft, but for me it does not seem to work for my
machine. I have even renamed the wab32.dll file as described. I am running
Service pack 2 in Windows XP and Service Pack three on office 2000. I can
receive mails, but I can not send or add from the address book.
any other suggestions?
Matt

Hello Matt,
You probably need to reinstall Outlook Express (instead of Outlook) in order
to fix this problem.

In Outlook 2000 SP-3, I am having trouble creating and sending
messages. I keep getting a message that says "An error occurred while
trying to open the Windows Address Book. Unable to find the WAB DLL."
Now, I have searched the web to find some solutions, and I have
uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook several times. I am also
concerned that I am going to loose me messages and address book. Does
anyone have any suggestions about how to correct this. I am pretty
good with computers, but I am not an expert with Outlook.
