Using Outlook pst file from 2003 on 2000
By drag and drop from one folder to the same type of folder in the "other"
PST. Use normal selection methods or select all. For your Calendar use a
Tale view such as "All Appointments"

This definitely seems like what I need. I don't need much just the
Calendar, Tasks and Contacts. None of the old e-mails... that will
lighten it up. BUT I don't know how to COPY items over. Can you explain.
My e-mail address is
if that is easier than
posting...not sure anyone else is interested.

Importing is not a good idea to begin with. It can cause less issues if a
PST is opened and items are copied over.
Outlook 2003 can use a different file format to Outlook 2000 so it
depends on what file format you are using for Outlook 2003.
To be safe, I'd create a new PST in Outlook in the older ANSI format
(there's an option for the older format), copy items to that and transfer
that file over, open it in Outlook 2000 and copy items over. You might
need more than one PST in the older format if your current outlook 2003
PST is greater than 2 Gig.

I have Outlook 2000 on my laptop and Outlook 2003 on my Desktop. I want
to know if I can import the pst file from my desktop (which came off of
Outlook 2003) into Outlook 2000?
Thank you
Frances
