hi.. i want to configure my OE for an intranet mail server.. but every
time i
try to send mail it seems to be connecting to the internet.. i do not
have a
local dns so i have to specify the mail server at the mail client..
how can i
do this??

Talk to the mail admin that manages your intranet mail host. They know
what setup is required to connect to their server. If you are the one
running your mail host (and your network), what are you entering in the
POP3 server field in the e-mail account that you define in OE? You
ALWAYS have to specify the mail server at the mail client whether you
operate a local DNS or not and whether you run your own mail host or
not. What happens if you use the WINS hostname for the mail host (i.e.,
whatever hostname you specified for that other host's Windows setup)?
What happens when you use the IP address for that mail host as the POP3
server name?
