I have set up an existing email account on a new laptop, I did it through
[Control panel -- Mail] and did not tick the setting to keep a copy of
messages on the server - now all the emails get downloaded onto the local
machine and I don't have a copy of them on the exchange server. Its Outlook
2003 on the local machine with Exchange server.
