Hi, I saw on a friend's Outlook 2003 that in his Sent Items, some messages
had the usual envelope icon, but with a (i) 'info' icon too. When opening
such messages, there was the tracking info and when the message had been
read by the recipient.

I have enabled requesting read receipts, and have ticked all the tracking
options in ToolsOptions, including the ones to process receipts on arrival
etc.

However I cannot get this info to attach itself to sent items, I just get a
'read:' e-mail report back which stays as a separate e-mail.

What am I missing?
