Default .eml asso. problem --- i think??

So you have installed the patch in KB918766? If so, have you performed the
registry edit outlined in the article I linked for that? Did you even read
the info about it at:
http://www.insideoe.com ?

It sounds like you've been bitten by the bug in MS KB 911567, which is
fixed
if you do all the things (including a small registry edit) as indicated
in
this article:

A saved .eml file does not open in Compose mode in Outlook Express:

If you are not comfortable working with the registry, there is a registry
file that can fix the problem for you at this site:

I've never had a problem opening email.

I got an email from a friend with an attachment with the " .eml " file
ext.
(and assume a file with the .eml ext is just another email) he
forwarded
to
me but I can't open it, it just does nothing when right-clicked to
Open.
In
the exploror folder file association, the .eml file is selected to open
.eml
with MS internet mail message and so wondered what's going on?

Any ideas??
