Default field issues!

If you enter only the last name, Outlook will either give you a list of people with that name that you've used before or, when you send the message, give you a list of every match in the first address list that it checks. It cannot guarantee to give you the same name every time. That's why I suggested that you create a distribution list -- give it a ***unique*** name, so it's never confused with anyone else.

But there quite a few people with the same name. What I am really looking
for is a way to change it to being able to enter the last name in the TO:
field and have it find the address. Is that possible?

Consider creating a distribution list with one member -- the person you want to send to when you type that particular text.

My company set up the global address list as first name, last name. There
are multiple people w/ same name and I send to wrong person sometimes. Is
there anyway to change it so I can enter their last name in the To: field and
have the email addy pop up? Thanks C!
