OK, I thought maybe there was something *special* about Main Identities, and
that they should remain. I don't have any idea how I got so many of them,
I'll delete them if they're *not* special.

Delete any identities you are not using. Make a mental note of the folders
you have in your currently used identities for verification, and then:

Click on each one and continue to:

When you see any that are obviously not being used, go back to Identities
and right click and delete that identity.

This is something you should do, but it is not the remedy for your current
problem. Do hyperlinks not work in any identity? I still think you should
try a new one if they don't work as long as you have tried all other
possible fixes already.

link you provided. I've got a question about identities. When I go to
Manage Identities, I see 5 listed. One each for the two users (my wife
and I), two Main Identity and a Main Identity(2). Does that make sense?
