Switching users at the Windows level is different than switching
identities within OE.
OE Identities are intended when several people want to share Outlook
Express within a single Windows logon or one person wants to separate
some of their mail such as personal verses Work.
Each Windows logon has separate user sections of the registry. You
can't access another's user's section of the registry unless you logon
to Windows as that user.

A long time ago I learned not to fix something that's not broken....but
sometimes I just can't control myself. I have two users (myself and my
wife). We share one Hotmail (free) account. Doing a Property check on
her OE6 folders shows them to be located under her Local
Settings\Application Data\Identities\{GUID}. Well, in reality, her .dbx
files are not there, they're located under MY Local Settings (with a
different GUID). When I do a Switch Identities from My account, it
shows empty folders (It's obviously going to the GUID under her Local
Settings), but if I switch users and open her OE, the folders are
populated correctly.
Questions: Does anybody understand this behavior, and if so, would
they explain it to me? Does anybody see any reason that I should
*improve* my current situation, which is giving me no apparent
problems? If so, how? Any other comments appreciated.
