I have a new, faster PC - XPProSP2/3.00 GHz/OE6 with McAfee, accessing NTL
over LAN11b routercable modem

When prompting OE to download mail I often get a 'no new messages' response
even though there are messages waiting. Clicking the send/receive button
several times generally succeeds after three or four goes.

I suspect that between OE and the mail server something is not tolerating
the delay in responding with the waiting message list. Since I also get the
above response when my local network is down it looks like OE may be the
culprit.

Is anyone else having this problem?
