Hi Maeve,
My understanding is the Flash Player works inproperly. My suggestion is:
The below are the steps to clear ActiveX controls in Internet Explorer:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click on Tools and choose Internet Options from the drop-down menu.
3. On the General tab, click on Settings in the Temporary Internet Files
section.
4. In the Settings window, click on View Objects.
5. This will open a new window entitled Downloaded Program Files.
6. In this window, locate and delete (remove) the Update Class file. Also
remove any other files that might have a damaged or unknown status.
7. Close the Downloaded Program files.
Here Downloaded Program Files is the folder to store the ActiveX Controls
(plug-ins).
The below are the steps to clear Plug ins in Internet Explorer:
1. Open Windows Explorer and find the C:\Program Files\Internet
Explorer\PLUGINS folder.
2. Create a new folder on the desktop and move all the plug-ins in the
PLUGINS folder to the new folder.
3. Open Control Panel-Internet Options.
4. On the General tab, click Delete Files within the Temporary Internet
files section.
5. Select the Delete all offline content check box, click OK.
6. Click Delete Cookies, and click OK.
7. Click Clear History within the History section, click Yes.
8. Click the Advanced tab, click Restore Defaults, and uncheck Enable
third-party browser extensions.
9. Click OK.
10. Find and delete the following registry key.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Explorer\Browse
r Helper Objects
11. Find and delete the all the sub keys in the following registry key
(don't delete the following registry key).
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Plugins\Extension
After that, restart the computer, when browsing the site with Flash, it may
promopt for installation.
Let me know if you still have concerns, thanks.
Best regards,
Vincent Xu
