Default Viewing message transmition route

Thank you Sue,

The second option works as expected, but the first option simply switches
on\off the headers for the message being viewed.

OPen the message and choose Other Actions | Message Header.

Or, right-click the message in the folder and choose Message Options.

How do I view the properties of a message so I can ascertain the hops\server
that the message passed through before hitting my inbox ?

Prior to 2007 you would use View\Options, but even though there appears to
be a similar control that can be added to the customizations this doesn't work
