Default Outlook, user defined fields

What about some custom views that sort by the desired field?

Another option, of course, is to develop your own UI for searching, but that's no simple solution.

What Outlook version? What do you mean by "the contacts are on the intranet"?

If this is your question, I used user defined fields - new field - Name - and
Type = text, Format = text.
In the advanced search I can see my fields under user defined. Problem is
that this search is to complicated, as the contacts are on the intranet for
everybody to use. Is there any other way to search for entries except of the
advanced sarech???

What dialog did you use to create those fields? What do you see in the Advanced search screen under User-defined Fields in Folder?

I created in a outlook contact folder user defined fields. I am facing the
problem that I can not search in them using the application “Look for”
“Search In”. Every other field provided by Outlook itself in fine for
searching. Please let me know what I can do.
