Default Having trouble sending e-mail in OE but works if a reply

I have an anti-virus scanner set to scan e-mail for OE, but do you mean
for Hotmail, as the last reply from PA Bear indicated that the problem
didn't lie with OE?

It doesn't provide any added protection anyway.

The e-mail does how in OE's sent items folder, but doesn't get to
Hotmail. I've checked the Junk Mail folder and it's not there, but I
don't see why Hotmail would have sent it there any way when it puts the
e-mail from the same account into its Inbox when it is sent from OE as
a reply!

Check your Hotmail account's Junk Mail folder and Junk Mail/Spam
settings.

If a copy of the message sent to is found in OE Sent
Items
(assuming you have the option enabled), the problem's not OE.

subject: Having trouble sending e-mail in OE but works if a reply

If I send an e-mail from one of my accounts on Outlook Express to my
Hotmail address then it doesn't get delivered (although there is no
message saying it has failed, it just doesn't show up at my Hotmail
in-box), but if I send an e-mail from Hotmail to an e-mail address on
one of my Outlook Express accounts then it is received on OE and if I
then use reply it is sent to my Hotmail e-mail address OK.

I am wondering why this happens and if there is a simple setting I can
change to make it work.
