Your antivirus program is set to scan incoming email. Open your antivirus
program and disable the option to scan email and reset the server info one
more time. Now see if it's fixed. If so, make sure that email scanning is
left off (and it does not leave you vulnerable if you routinely update your
AV program since any attempt to open/save an infected file will prompt you
with a warning).

I am trying to set up my email account so that i can read my emails through
Outlook Express. i have obtained the information required i.e Server is

incoming: pop.wanadoo.co.uk outgoing: smtp.wanadoo.co.uk however i am
experiencing problems receiving mail when trying to send them to myself as
a
test and have noticed that my incoming mail server has changed to display
127.0.0.1 I am able to send mail however i cannot receive and further when
i
change this number back to pop.wanadoo.co.uk i am repeatedly asked for my
