Yes, I am aware of that and have used in the past. If I want to send an
encrypted message, it is not clear how to get the ID out of Certificate
Manager store. I pulled a basic personal thawte cert and it is in doc
folder. But how do I use it? If it is not imported to personal store it will
not stamp ID the out going email.

They've been around for a long time. It allows you to certify that your
messages come from you. To read more about their use, open Help/Contents
and Index in Outlook Express and in the Index tab, insert the following
text:
digital IDs, about digital IDs
and read about them.

So what 's the deal with the [digital ID] link on security tab in
toolsoptions. It is a http 404 error. All it does is ID your work; it
also
allows encrypted data algorithms to be invoked to protect your privacy.
Is
this more NSA garbage?
