Default duplicate accounts

Hi rich9791,

If information in previous post did not perform as expected we can probably
assume that identity may be corrupt.

Create a new identity, then create a mail account in that identity, test, if
okay, instruction can be provided on how to transfer all mail and contacts
(address book) from corrupt identity to this new identity and delete corrupt
identity.

To create a new Identity, open Outlook Express, choose File, on it's menu
select Identities, on the expanding menu choose Add New Identity.

| Hi rich9791,
|
| I tried to create two accounts with the same name in my Outlook Express
and
| it wouldn't let me.
|
| I can create two identical accounts as long as they have a individual
name.
|
| Can you change the name of one of your accounts to a different name?
|
| Open Outlook Express | Tools | Accounts | select one of your mail accounts
|
| Properties | under Mail Account create a different unique name | click OK.
|
| If this name displays in the Internet Accounts dialog window select your
| other account and give it a unique name.
|
| It also should display in the Internet Accounts dialog window.
|
| Close and open Outlook Express, what displays in the Internet Accounts
| dialog window?

| | This was asked and answered in another group. If you feel you must
post
| to
| | more than one group, please do not multi-post. Crosspost instead via
New
| | Post | Tools | Select Newsgroups. This way if a post is replied to in
| one
| | group, it will also be replied to in the other group(s).
| |
| | But even crossposting is seldom necessary since those of us that check
| | posts, do so in more than one newsgroup. Thank you.
