Default 2000.pst vs. 2003.pst

The use of Import/Export for a pst is often not advised as it can

If the .pst is not a good way to export, transfer, and save; how
should I get my data out of outlook?
What are the various tools for syncing a same format .pst?

Create a new PST in Outlook and copy the data you want to save to it. You
can make this an Outlook 97-2002 PST if you need to transfer it to an
earlier version. In the other Outlook, just open the PST.
FileOpenOutlook Data FIle (or Personal Folders File).
