What version of Outlook and have you applied all Office Service Packs for
your version?

After furious head scratching, MikeR-Oz asked:

| When I select a new messafge and the word editor opens and I then

| field isn't active for about a minute and will not allow any entry to

| often than not - other times it is OK and I can type straight away??
