How do you create an association in the Folder Options control panel?

It is much easier and safer to create an association as I described in
previous post.

However, if you would like to view your file extensions and which programs
are associated to them.

You can access Folder Options via Control Panel or open My Documents, choose
File, on its menu choose Folder Options.

In the Folder Options dialog window select File Types tab.

About half the time I try to open an attachment e-mailed to me, I get the
following message: This file does not have a program associated with it for
performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control
panel.
