Default Using OE as default email client for MS Word

I apologize. Perhaps I've mistated the issue.

It's my dad's computer. I'm only helping his with this issue. I have a
seperate computer.

He was running OE for years. I loaded Outlook for him so he could use the
calendar feature of Outlook. I want Outlook to perform no other functions
for him. The problem is that when he tries to forward Word documents via
the right-click/send to/mail recipient option, Word starts Outlook instead
of OE. That means he does not have access to his OE Address Book.

In other words, I want all programs to use OE as their default email
application, but that's not happening.

I thought you stated he used OE and you wanted to use OL.
I've assumed that you are sending mail to your own addresses and not his
addresses

Thank you for your input.

I should have clarified that I do not use this computer, only my dad, so
it's just a matter of getting one profile set up properly.

As for your suggestion, do you mean import the OE address book into the
Outlook contacts? If so, won't he have to do a new import every time he
updates, edits, or adds to his OE address book?

thank you,

jm

Then Import the address book, he can use OE and you use OL.
I'm assuming you and he have seperate email accounts
And if you use seperate win logon accounts each user can have their own
settings/defaults

I was running MS Word only, using Outlook Express as my email program.

I
installed MS Outlook, mainly to use the calendar feature. I set OE as

my
default email program (in IE Internet Options), but everytime I
right-click
on a Word document and use "Send To - Mail Recipient," it starts

Outlook
instead of Outlook Express. The main problem is that it doesn't give

me
the
option of pulling from my OE Address Book.

How can I resolve this? And please don't suggest that I use Outlook

for
email, although I know that is the overall best way. This computer is

my
dad's, and he is very, very resistent to change, and he likes OE.

thank you,

jm
