Default How sort contacts by email address

Since the From field is controlled by the sender and could be anything the
sender chooses, why would you ever want to sort on it? What's the point
here?

How can a sort messages by the email address. If I click on the "From"
field, it has messages listed by various alias (i.e. "File as"). The same
email address can have several different alias', so I often can't find all
the emails from one email address.

It was suggested that I could "Right click on the column header, select
Field Chooser and add the Account field.", however, this did not work.
(The "Account" field in "All contact fields" does not show anything.
There is an "Email Account" field, but that is who the email is sent "To".
I want who it is sent "From" and the "From" field is listed by alias, not
email address.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for any help
