Default microphone not working when making new call

This is not an Outlook issue. Outlook simply uses the Windows dialer to dial
numbers. The Windows dialer has no support for voice modems. You need to
have a handset plugged into the modem if you want to talk.

I have a working microphone on my pc, but when I make a phone call through
Outlook the person on the other end of the line can't hear me, I can hear
them.

I use windows Live for voice, which works fine.

I'm trying to setup outlook so I can call clients through VoiceIP.

Any suggestions of how, or websites that can help? Greatly appreciated -
Thanks
