Help with Multiple Contacts Lists Pls
Hi Russ
This may originally happened when I imported a backup of the Outlook 2002
contacts in to a new installation 2003 Outlook. I can't quite remember, as I
have put up with this for some time now.
I can't copy the Nicks folder in to the default folder, because all that
happens is another copy appears as "Nicks1".
I then have:
Contacts
Nicks Contacts
Nicks1 Contacts
It just duplicates all the time.
Really strange, as all I want to do is have one Contacts folder.
There's no option to delete the default folder, just additional ones.

How did you manage to do this? This required end user activity. Outlook
doesn't do this all by itself.
Why wouldn't you just copy the contents of Nicks Contacts into your default
folder, then delete the Nicks Contacts Folder?

I have Outlook 2003 and in my personal folder list have the default
"Contacts
List" and also a list within the contacts 'file' I.E: it looks like this
Contacts
Nicks Contacts
The active contacts list is Nick's contacts, in that this has all my
entries, and the default Contacts list is empty.
I can add new entries to the default list, but I cant import my "Nicks
Contact" in to the default list.
I want to do this, as I only need one contacts list.
I can only delete "Nicks" Contacts list but cannot delet the default
Contacts list.
I can't even move the actvive list into the default.
I need the default list as my active one, because when trying to
sychronise
my contacts to my PDA, by default, only the "Default Contacts" (empty one)
is
read.
How can I just have the one list, or import "Nicks Contacts" in to the
default contacts and therefore delete one of them?
I know this sounds confusing, but I would appreciate some help with this.
Thanks
