I can't delete emails from the inbox folder without rebooting the system and
even then after a while, it won't allow me to delete emails again.

I have eliminated about 1/3 of my deleted emails (I think there are about
30K emails in there) and I still have this problem. I have no problem
deleting emails from any other folder, like sent, delete, etc.
