She's on high speed access now so at least I can talk with her on the phone
while we try various things.

Quick reply re the emails, both arrived just fine here Douglas whether I
view in plain text or HTML. No header data or anything like it. If you
want to try a picture that's fine too.

Could this be something to do with Mom's security software? Antivirus
email scanning for example, that's not good with OE. If it turns out to be
a problem at her end you would of course be in the right group so keep an
eye on both
