Did Outlook disappear, or Outlook Express? Two different programs.

Was your anti-virus program turned of when you downloaded the XP update SP2?
If not, you may have not had a clean install. This happened to many when SP2
was released.

Remove SP2 via Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs. Then turn off your
anti-virus and download and install again.

1. Every email I get comes as an attachment and can't be viewed in the

true for the newsgroups - they all come in as attachments whereas before

2. When I hit compose, I can type in the address and subject line but
nothing in the email box to write the email. I can't click there - it is
essentially greyed out.

Has anybody had this problem or can suggest options?
