Thanks so much. Weird times. According to pspv, the old password (which I
hadn't been able to remember) was still listed. So I used that and got in a
little ways. Then OE asked for the password again and I had to use the one
reset by ISP. But at least I'm in! And I learned about a great resource for
when I forget my password next time! Thanks a lot.

I can get into OE just fine with the primary identity. It's when I want to
open or change to a secondary identity that I get the error message: "The
password you typed is incorrect."
I know the password IS correct as I can access my email through the ISP
site.
Thoughts?
Must be a pasword problem day, seeing a lot of posts and four phone calls
on it today.
http://www.nirsoft.net
download and run Protected Storage Passview (pspv.exe)
No install required.
Close OE
Locate the password for the second Identity. Delete it.
Open OE
Switch to that Identity. Enter the password again. It should accept it.
Then go into Tools | Accounts andenter it n there as well.
If it won't retain it, you'll have to blow away the Protected Storage in
Windows XP which removes all passwords that are stored, Post back if the
password won't retain this time and I'll post the KB article URL from MS on
this issue.
