Default How do I avoid duplication when downloading files from server?

set gmail to only download new messages. If outlook doesn't get the chance
ot send a proper delete command, it will keep downloading them and if you
have a lot of messages, it may not get the chance.

Hello.

New to this.

I have a Gmail account and I have enabled for POP access.

Every time I press the 'send/receive'button, I have all my messages
downloaded again, and have duplication.

This is chewing up my broadband limit. How do I stop this.

Cheers
