Default Conflict with Outlook

I suggest posting this query to one of the Outlook newsgroups, Dan.

I have tried, but I don't get a DBX file type option. How do I get DBX as a
file type?

Have you tried /importing/ the OE folders (DBX files) into OL (instead of
exporting them from OE)?

On my Windows XP Professional laptop, I use Outlook Express 6 for my
email, but I also have Outlook 2000 installed. I want to export some of
my folders from OE6 to Outlook, but it tells me that I have to set
Outlook as the default email program. I try to do this in the Internet
Options Control Panel, but when I go back into this Control Panel, it is
still set to OE as the default email program. When I check the setting in
Outlook, the check box is checked to make it (Outlook) the default email
program.

How can I make it to "stick" in the Control Panel that Outlook is the
default email program so that OE will export messages to it?
