Default Outlook Express Program File Location

What operating system are you using (Windows version)? Have you tried a
file search for it? Click Start/Search and enter "msimn.exe" in the box w/o
the quotes and it should return the file path to the executable. MSIMN was
originally an abbreviation for MicroSoft Internet Mail and News.

Jim, et. al.: Unfortunately, msimn.exe is not located in that location.
Could it be anywhere else or have a different name? thank you. nathan

Jim: Thankyou so much. I was looking for a .exe file with "oe" in it or
"express", or something in that vein. I appreciate it. n

Creat a shortcut to the executable file for Outlook Express (msimn.exe)
which is usually located in "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express" folder
and
save it on your Desktop. To open Outlook Express, just click on the
shortcut.

I would like Outlook to be my default e-mail client in our Exchange
environment. But, I still want to use Outlook Express to download my
personal e-mail from my sbcglobal.net mail server (I know I can not
send
mail
out through the server). I can not figure out a way to open OE6
unless I
make OE6 my default e-mail client in Windows XP.

My idea is to make Outlook my default e-mail client and put an OE6
shortcut
in my taskbar or on the desktop. BUT, I can’t find the OE6 program
application file to do this. Will someone please let me know if this
is
possible? Thank you very much. I thought this would be simple!
nathan
