Hope somone comes up with an answer for ya. I have the identical problem. I
think I might have spiked something with HijackThis chasing a virus. I have
two computers sitting side by side with identical OE setups. Works great on
one, just like yours on the other with, of course, the exception that it
refers to my ISPs.

This error seems to relate to Winsock.

Have reset the tcp/ip stack using the netsh int ip reset command and also
reset the winsock and winsock 2 registry entries using winsockxpfix

Anyone any other ideas?
