HKEY_CURRENT_USER
\Software
\Microsoft
\WAB
\WAB4

If not, STOP; If so, is there a DWORD named UseOutlook (NB: no space) and
is its value set to 1 (one)?

NO

2. If you STOPPED at any point above, install the follow patch and see if
it addresses the problem:

What does this patch do, and can it cause any problems I'm not now
experiencing?

Hopefully, it will address your problem. No, it should not cause any problems. No, there's no KB documentation about it addressing your problem but installing it has done so for others. It's fully uninstallable if it doesn't and you don't want to keep it installed.

[To keep track of things, it helps immensely if you include all of previous message(s) in your replies to the newsgroup. Thank you.]

Not any longer. I did have a trial of them, and had set up both, months
ago. They were removed a number of months ago.

Is MS Office and/or Outlook also installed?

I just sent 30 different emails to new contacts. I mistakenly thought
everyone I send to gets automatically put into my address book, but
apparantly, it is only those I reply to ( I have that option selected in
the
options tab) . So, I went to each email in my sent folder and right
clicked
on the address. I selected the "add to address book" option, and in each
case a dialogue box opened up which said the address was already in my
address book. However, I can't find it. So, why do some addresses get
into
my book and others not, and how do I find and put these latest addresses
into the book? I am using Windows XP and OE 6.
