Default Reset Outlook 2003 startup

In oups.com,
typed:
I originally attempted to connect Outlook 2003 to an exchange server I
used.

But no longer use, correct?

Long story short, I wanted to keep the email on the Web Access.

Well, more specifically, you kept your mail in the mailbox on the Exchange
server. OWA is just a client, as is Outlook in this context.

Now, however, I would like to use Outlook for its calendar function
and potentially to forward other email into it, but it keeps trying to
connect to the bad exchange server. Repair/Reinstall is not helping. I
assume there's an old registry entry that needs to be deleted. Please
advise.

Thanks,
Andy

If you do not connect to this old Exchange server, but can open the data in
your OST file, immediately export it to PST format using file |
import/export. Then create a new mail profile and use that PST file for your
delivery location. You do not want to end up with an orphaned OST file, as
you will not be able to open it in Outlook, and conversion tools are
generally not inexpensive.
