Default Where is address book?

Yes, I knew my question probably wouldn't make any sense to anyone. I have a
difficult time articulating my computer problems. I finally worked around my
problem and was able to retrieve my contact list AND synch my Palm so that
the data is restored. I knew it was still there, but just didn't know where
to look for it. It still is not working the way it used to by using my
charter.net account, but it works and I'm not fooling with it. I copied my
address book from the hotmail account by selecting all, copying it, and
pasting it in my charter.net account. I don't know how it worked, but it did.

Please, how do I back up my Outlook data? I usually put my Outlook files on
my external drive. Should I be doing something else? Under what
directory/folder would I find my address book?

Thanks for answering my question!!

What do you mean by folder list? I can't think of any folder list that shows
an email address. What do you really mean by all that? Your description
makes no sense.
So are you saying you synched with your Palm after it lost all of its data?
Do you keep frequent backups of your Outlook data?

Strange things are happening! I'm using Outlook 2003 and running Windows
XP.
All of a sudden, a few days ago, my folder list showed my hotmail address
instead of my charter.net. In order to send any emails using my address
book, I had to use the drop down menu and select my hotmail address. I
was
trying to synchronize my Palm Zire (which lost its memory when the battery
drained while I was out of town) before I realized there was NOTHING in my
address book. I know I'm probably rambling and not giving enough info,
but I
need help. I hasn't helped that I could not connect to the internet for 3
days. If someone could help me, I can do a screen shot and email my set
ups.
