Anything in your Exchange mailbox is accessible by the Exchange admins so
your "private" items are not really private. Second, do you really want
your private/personal contacts at work for any and all to ask about?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without

After furious head scratching, Kent asked:

| I want to synch my personal contacts from my home Outlook client with
| my office Outlook client. My office runs Exchange. However, I do
| not want my personal contacts to be readable by any Exchange admins
| (or anyone else at my company).
|
| If I mark my personal contacts as "Private" within Outlook, will that
| encrypt them on Exchange so that they will be unreadable by anyone
| else?
|
| If so, I have around 900 personal contacts that I need to mark as
| private. How can I make this bulk change instead of opening-checking
| private-closing each one?
|
| Thanks very much for the help.
|
