Thanks Russ !!

The sender's address is determined by the sender, not the recipient.

Okay let me try this again...If I have someone's email address in my
contacts, eg. ... how can I display on the incoming
email from this person to show his real name eg., Tom Jones...or Dick and
Jane ??? Isn't the line for "display as" the reason for this ?? I
receive emails from other people that shows their names and not their
email addresses.

Sorry for not being more specific...

Perhaps, if you posted an actual question that says what isn't working,
your mail account type and how you are entering recipient information.
The "Email Display As" field does not affect the From: field. That is
determined by how you set up your mail account.

I'm assuming that the "Display As" line in the contacts page that you
fill out is to show that name or nickname in the from line of an
incoming email. For some reason it does not seem to work for all my
contacts. Could someone point me in the right direction.

I'm running winXP and outlook 2003.

Thanks in advance,

Ray
