Default Address Book

Well, it is true for me. What can I say. If you have never used your real
e-mail address in newsgroups, (I know you are not using it here), or other
untrusted sites, I would consider changing ISPs. I know Cox can be trusted.

That's not entirely true. I have two email addresses that are
(theoretically) known only to me and to the service providers. Neither
has been posted anywhere or used to send email. Nonetheless, both
receive some spam messages, one of them quite a lot considering that it's
never been used. Either some providers are distributing addresses or
unwittingly letting harvesters into their systems, or the spammers are
getting very good at guessing addresses that may be valid.
