Default Calendar item text missing

Came in this morning the text for my calendar items is not displaying. If
you highlight the appointment the text shows but as soon as you leave that
appointment the text disappears and the only thing showing are white boxes
where the appointments are. I've experimented with different views and
nothing has worked.

Can anyone help me with this problem.
