Default Outlook Runtime Error

It was simpler with DOS and email at 300 baud. Sigh...

After hours and hours on this same subject and looking at many posts,
emailing Norton, emailing microsoft office, no reply. I contacted HP and
they
had online chat to walk through. I could not change file name either and
so
this is how I had to do it. Upon start up of your computer hit F8 key,
select
safe mode command prompt. When command prompt comes up type CD C:\ then
tap
enter, then type CD progra~1 then tap enter, then type CD common files and
tap enter, then cd syantec shared and tap enter, then cd antispam then tap
enter, then attrib -s -h -r MSOUPLUG.DLL. then tap enter, then type ren
MSOUPLUG.DLL. MSOUPLUG.OLD. then tap enter. That should change the file
name. After you get out of that and reboot you should not get that error
message anymore. I did have trouble opening anything in outlook aftter
that
so I ran the repair in outlook and reset to default and renamed a new
file.....it worked perfectly after that. Thanks HP support for sticking
with
me through the entire process.

Everytime I load Outlook and error message immediatly pops up that says
-- Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library runtime error. This application
has
requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact
support team for more information. Then you have to hit ok and it shuts
down.
Any suggestions? I am new at this so simple answers are helpful....:-)
I
have Outlook 2002
Thank you for your help.
