Default Viewed vs Printed Text Size in Emails

Outlook Express uses the same print engine as Internet Explorer.

For print size: IE | View | Text Size | Make adjustment.

For margins: IE | File | Page Setup. (Default setting is 0.75 all around).

The font size in my email message window is small enough to fill the
screen with most messages. However, if I print out a message, the font
size is two or three times larger and often requires several pages to
print. I my OE6 text size set at "smaller" but that setting doesn't seem
to relate to what appears in a printed copy. Any suggestions for how to
match or coordinate the email & printer (HP 895CSe) text sizes? This only
seems to happen when printing emails. Printed documents or web pages come
out the same size as they appear on the monitor.
