I am sorry, but your directions are very confusing.
You said to rename a folder.
You didn't mention where to do the renaming.
Then in a reply, you said to rename the folder in Windows Explorer.
There are no OE folders in Windows Explorer. There are dbx files which OE
uses to store the messages in an OE folder.
If you rename a default OE dbx file, OE will create a new empty default dbx
file.
One of the recommendations for trying to fix a corrupt default folder is to
rename the corresponding dbx file so that a new file will be generated.
If your directions had been followed, the default folder would be a new
empty folder.
