Default my pc runs very slow for the past 8 days

I want you to know right away that I just subscribe to Cloudmark three weeks
ago. Also McAfee has been running on my XP Professional for a year.

Since my schedule is tight tomorrow, I will do on Sunday and Monday what you
have suggested i.e links that you mentioned.

Thanks. Alan

Perhaps this posting should be at other topic; different newsgroup.
Perhaps somebody here can give assistance.

Outlook Express is darned slow at email retrieval.

I later realize internet explorer is just as slow..too slow at launching
and finding internet links.

I copied and pasted from sytem information - Software Environment -
Running Tasks..

Below is the list of Running Tasks.. there are too many questions to ask
you, but i will start with first two questions..

1) Why are some programs not available? like svchost.exe
2) Why are there several programs have same name: svchost.exe?

The list is not quite in an orderly readable format even though it was
copied and paste properly..probably because the outlook express does not
have WORD formatting.

Neverthless, I really beg your help because this dell machine has been
extremely fast over two years. Wonder what is happening. Looks like I
lost some system files in Running Tasks.

Alan

You have some form of spyware on your machine IMHO.
Domainwatch.Exe is listed here as such:
http://66.249.93.104/search?q=cache:...n&ct=clnk&cd=1

Have you installed any third party tools recently, spam blocker, toolbars
etc if so remove them.

Rule out malware infection:

Get CWShredder and run it:

Review the information he
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Get Spybot S&D, and Adaware, update and run both of those too.

Also HijackThis!, follow all the instructions to get genuine help.

I would also remove McAfee and install AVG Free Antivirus, use custom
install, and disable email scan.
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/lng/us/tpl/v5

Or at least disable the email scan sections of McAfee, they provide no
extra protection.

svchost.exe is Windows process.
