Yes Michael, I closed OEX before shutting down. I make it a habit to
close all open applications as it expedites 'Turn off computer'. My
anti-virus program does not scan for incoming or outgoing Email.
I compact OEX weekly with the recommended procedure; click Outlook
Express in the Folder tree/close Outlook Express/File/Folder/Compact
Folders. When OEX comes up on the 100th closing, there is very little to
