Default Customization of GPO

The Custom Maintenance Wizard provides a limited ability to deploy customized Send/Receive Group settings.

Of course I can do that.
Within Outlook 2003 you have the possibility to define special transmission
groups to handle connectivity to the Internet/Server. To each transmission
group you can define an automatic transmission every x minutes in online and
offline mode and an automatich transmission when closing the programm. We use
that to handle Blackberry synchronization and downloading the OAB.
Unfortunately during a standard installation these function is not selected
so we have to select it manually on each client. That is a little bit boring
after a hundres of clicks. My question now is whether there is a way to set
this options in centralized way without touching any client manually?

Thanky for your reply.

Whatever it is you are trying to do with the send/receive settings -- and it is certainly not clear what that is -- those settings are not among those controllable with GPO. Maybe you can explain in more detail what you're trying to accomplish.

Hi together!

I'm an Administrator of an Exchange 2003 SP2 environment with Outlook 2003
working in Cached Mode. Unfortunately the automatich Send/Receive function is
not activated by default. I like to activate it over a GPO but the standard
outlk11.adm file does not contain a parameter for that. I think I have to
expand the default adm file to solve that. Unfortunately I do not know
whether it is possible to handle the automatic Send/Receive function over a
GPO in general and if it is I do not know the correct parameter so that
Outlook knows what to do when reading the GPO.
