Default Outlook connection to Exchange Server

are you just changing the server name or did you delete the exchange account
from the profile? it should work ok if you delete the exchange account and
recreate it for the new server.

I have Windows Xp Pro and Outlook 2003 pro. I used to connect to an old
exchange server XYZ.com but never used it. I have a POP account whichI use
and recently our company got a new exchange server. I have been trying to
connect to it but when I go to Check name, it always prompts the login to
the
old server xyz.com. I have out in the new server addres right.

To by pass this I created a new profile and that was able to connect to
the
new exchange server. So my Q is why cant I conenct usingthe old profile. I
know i can move my pop to the new profile which is what i did but i have
lot
of my old email addresses pop up when I type in the old profile.
Please if someone can help me to find out why it still ask for the ols
xyz.com server when I no longer use that. Icouldnt find xyz.com in my
registry even.
