Setting Resets By Itself
That would suggest some registry corruption. You can try creating a new
Identity and then importing your existing data.
1) You'll need to create a new identity:

2) Import the old data:

Another quick and dirty option would be to fill in the same account name
and password for the SMTP Authentication as for your POP3 server. Then
it doesn't matter which option is checked. The only downside to this is
that when you change your mail server POP3 password, you'll have to
change it in both places in OE.

Dear all.. has anyone encountered the setting of the
"Outgoing Mail Server" resets itself ?.
OUr ISP requires us to "Check" on the "My Server Requires
Authentication" and
then Settings - "Check" on the "Use Same as the Incoming Server" -
Apply...
But after a while, the "Check" will automatically change to "Log on
Using"
setting...
Please help.
