While in the Inbox: View | Current View. Make sure Show All Messages,
(only), is checked. It sounds like Hide Read Messages has been accidentally
checked.

In the Local folders, I created a JUNK folder for junk messages leaving
the
IN Box for good messages and created a mail rule for certain incoming
messages to be moved to JUNK. After 5 good messages came into the In Box,

checked to see if there were any in the JUNK folder. Whenever I returned

the In Box, one message had disappeared from the In Box leaving 4. Well,
whenever I left the In Box to check the other folders again, JUNK, Out,
